Sarah Harrison

Director, Kinder Chorus and Primary Chorus

Sarah Harrison completed Bachelor’s degrees in Vocal Music Performance and Education in 2003, and 2004 respectively. She is an accredited Montessori teacher and a licensed Music Together teacher. Her teaching career has taken her from her native Canada to England, and since 2005, Southern California.

She has taught children ranging from kindergarten through high school, and her choirs have consistently won awards for both musicality and spirit. Ms. Sarah is presently a pre-K and kindergarten teacher at Monarch Bay Montessori Academy, where she also runs the after school music program for children through 6th grade.

Ms. Sarah remains an active soprano soloist, most recently performing the Pergolesi Stabat Mater in Newport Beach. Ms. Sarah was thrilled to join the Southern California Children’s Chorus family in 2016 as a parent and volunteer, then as an assistant director in 2018, and now as a director.

Beyond music, Ms. Sarah is an avid runner, having completed seven marathons, and many more half-marathon, 10K and 5K races. She loves to bake and decorate cakes. Sarah also keeps busy as a mother of three young children: twin daughters, Noelle and Ainsley, and a son, Declan. Sarah has been married to husband Neal for 14 years and they dream of traveling one day!
