Apprentice Chorus
Apprentice Chorus members are chosen from auditions held in May, August and early September of each year. The Apprentice Chorus is comprised of approximately 65 choristers from grades 2 and 3. This entry-level chorus for new members is a readiness program in which the basics of vocal production and musicianship are presented in a manner suitable for the age group. The emphasis is on musicianship training as developed by Hungarian composer Zoltan Kodaly.
Limited public performances are scheduled during the year, including annual Holiday and Spring Concerts; however, the emphasis at this level is preparatory training.
Due to the strong interest in our Apprentice Chorus this year, we will be holding two rehearsal times.
Early Birds will meet on Tuesdays, from 4:15-5:15PM
Late Birds will meet on Tuesdays, from 5:30-6:30PM
